About Won's Art
Won Kim is a multidisciplinary artist based in Eora/Sydney, with a background in Graphic Design and experience as a sign writer and tattoo parlour manager. From a young age, she demonstrated a talent for handcrafting and art, earning awards early on. Her work primarily uses acrylic ink on paper and blends tattoo imagery with Korean Folk Art (Minhwa) and its symbolism. Influenced by her late uncle, Master Man Hee Kim, a renowned Korean Folk Art master, she aims to preserve the Minhwa tradition by creating her own style. Her art merges traditional heritage with contemporary expression, inviting viewers into a vibrant and meaningful visual world.
